Eastwell Manor Hotel, in Kent, is a luxury hotel set in its own 3000 acre parkland offering a range of facilities for its guests including a 9 hole golf course as well as indoor and outdoor pools, and magnificent Spa and saunas. With its origins dating back to the Norman Conquest, the Manor has many interesting features including carved panelled rooms and massive baronial stone fireplaces in a quiet and tranquil atmosphere. The Manor features tastefully decorated and furnished en-suite rooms and suites, offering space, elegance and sumptuous comfort. Each
room is individually designed and furnished in a classical style yet has all the modern day facilities that you would expect from a first class family run country house hotel. With 39 rooms, individual apartments and catering for large functions, the guests at Eastwell Manor naturally expect all facilities available including fast WiFi.

The previous wireless service had been provided by over 30 access
points and three different manufacturers across the site. The speeds
were limited due to Eastwell’s rural location. With the advent of an
upgrade in broadband speeds, it was soon realised that a new WiFi
infrastructure was required that could be managed locally, or
remotely, for both corporate and guest users.
The decision was made to install the Neutron Managed Wireless
Solution from EnGenius. The initial requirement was for a controller,
EWS5912FP, and 8 Access points, the dual band EWS310AP was
selected from the Neutron range as it offers dual band functionality.
The enterprise level features offered by the Neutron Solution allow
Eastwell Manor to use the statistics gathered by the system to plan
future upgrades to the network to ensure maximum throughput for
areas of greatest use.
During the installation, it was commented that “the controller flagged up 2 firmware upgrades were available, using
the one click upgrade this was completed successfully, and the next lot of access points were added with no hitch.
Very impressive!”

The upgrade is being rolled out in the converted Victorian stable blocks first, followed by the main Hotel building and
Spa area to complete the installation.
